Not sure what you’re looking for? My detailed understanding of market trends, local neighborhoods, and financial tidbits allows me to give sound, proven advice to match you with your ideal home.

The Buying Process

To begin with, I believe that the more informed you are, the better your experience will be. I have the resources to guide you through the home finding process, providing you with everything from detailed property searches to neighborhood information.

Below, I have included a general step-by-step list to help explain the home buying process. Some of these stages may seem confusing, but remember, I am here to answer any questions.

If you are in the market for a new built home never attend a showing without having a Realtor to represent you. Going to a new construction home site without your realtor can cost you in the long run. The agent on duty does not have your best interest  the agent on duty is representing the seller NOT you.

1. Determine your needs and budget

Before the search begins, its a good idea to define what type of home, neighborhood, and location best suits your needs and lifestyle. Have fun with this! Have you always wanted a wood fireplace? Is a large yard important to you? I recommend imagining your dream home, while also taking into account your financial considerations.

Once you share these details with me, I can offer feedback and advice to help develop a plan and goal moving forward. You may want to prioritize what specifications you are looking for in a new home to offer some flexibility when scouting for homes. Make a "wish list" and a "must have" list.

2. Get Preapproved For A Loan

First, have some self knowledge of your credit score. Review what may be on your report that may hurt you from getting financed. R2R can help you with a consultation about your credit report and discuss your options, correct any information or errors to speed up the approval process.

If you don't have a specific bank or credit union that you would like to use I  can connect you with a loan officer.

1. Get preapproved (obtain preapproval letter)

The following documents are needed to get preapproved:

  • Last 30 days pay stubs
  • 2 years tax returns
  • Copy of Driver's License/ID
  • Social Security Card
  • Proof of employment

3. Home Search

With your specifications in mind, I will use my resources to scout the marketplace on your behalf. When I find homes that meet your criteria, we can review them and schedule a tour at your convenience.

When possible, all decision-makers should visit the various homes. Always be candid–it will help me understand your particular needs. Once you have found the home you desire I will submit an offer to the sellers on your behalf. Once an offer is accepted there will be a time frame allowed for a home inspection (purchased by the buyer - you). During this process the bank will request an appraisal be done on the home to assure that it is valued at the amount you will be taking a loan out for.

4. Closing

Once the title company and underwriter has verified all information pertaining to the home, the final step will be the closing table. This is where magic happens and all of the signing of documents take place. Sellers are signing their home over to you. Buyers are signing new loan documents. Any final closing cost and keys are switched off and now you are the new home owner!
